【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtoevaluatetheeffectofmixtureproportioning,surfacetreatment,curing,orothervariablesonresistancetoscaling.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtobeusedindeterminingthedurabilityofaggregatesorotheringredientsoftheconcrete.Norelationshiphasbeenestablishedbetweenthefrostimmunityofspecimenscutfromhardenedconcreteandspecimenspreparedinthelaboratory.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheresistancetoscalingofahorizontalconcretesurfaceexposedtofreezing-and-thawingcyclesinthepresenceofdeicingchemicals.Itisintendedforuseinevaluatingthissurfaceresistancequalitativelybyvisualexamination.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
