【摘要】:Therecommendedmeasurementproceduresdescribedinthisguideareintendedtoprovideperformance-relatedmeasurementsthatcanbereproducedunderthespecifiedtestconditionsusingcommerciallyavailabletestinstrumentation.Thesemeasurementsindicatecapabilitiesofsectionsoftheultrasonicexaminationinstrumentindependentofspecifictransducersorexaminationconditions.Measurementsaremadefromnormallyavailableconnectorsortestpointssothatnoaccesstointernalcircuitryisrequired.Further,thisguideisnotintendedforservice,calibration,ormaintenanceofcircuitryforwhichthemanufacturerrsquo;instructionsareavailable.Itisintendedprimarilyforpulseechoflawdetectioninstrumentsoperatinginthenominalfrequencyrangeof100kHzto25MHz,buttheproceduresareapplicabletomeasurementsoninstrumentsutilizingsignificantlyhigherfrequencycomponents.Theseprocedurescanbeappliedtotheevaluationofanypulse-echoultrasonicexaminationinstrumentwhichcanbedescribedasacombinationoftheelectronicsectionsdiscussedinthisguide.Note28212;Theseproceduresarenotintendedtoprecludetheuseorapplicationofequipmentforwhichsomeorallofthemeasurementtechniquesofthisdocumentarenotapplicable.Anultrasonicexaminationinstrumentthatcannotbecompletelydescribedasacombinationoftheelectronicsectionsdiscussedinthispracticecanbepartiallyevaluated.Eachportionoftheultrasonicexaminationinstrumentthatisevaluatedmustfitthedescriptionforthecorrespondingsection.Thisguideismeanttobeusedbyelectronicpersonneltoevaluatetheelectronicsystemcomponentsandnottheultrasonicsystemcharacteristics.1.1Thisguidedescribesproceduresforelectronicallymeasuringthefollowingperformance-relatedcharacteristicsofsomesectionsofultrasonicinstruments:1.1.1PowerSupplySectionlineregulation,batterydischargetime,andbatterychargetime.1.1.2PulserSectionpulseshape,pulseamplitude,pulserisetime,pulselength,andpulsefrequencyspectrum.1.1.3ReceiverSectionverticallinearity,frequencyresponse,noiseandsensitivity,anddBcontrols.1.1.4TimeBaseSectionhorizontallinearity,andclock(pulserepetitionrate).1.1.5Gate/AlarmSectiondelayandwidth,resolution,alarmlevel,gainuniformity,analogoutput,andbackechogate.1.2ThisguidecomplementsPracticeE317,andisnotintendedforevaluatingtheperformancecharacteristicsofultrasonicexaminationinstrumentsontheinspection/productionline.Note1Noaccesstointernalcircuityisrequired.
